The Stainless Steel Scrubber Column (also known as a stainless steel spray tower, purification tower, or acid mist scrubber) is a core purification device in industrial exhaust gas treatment systems. It is specifically designed to remove acid gases, alkaline gases, organic vapors, and irritating odors generated during industrial production processes. The unit is widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, electroplating, electronics, metallurgical, and other industries requiring gas treatment.
The main body is constructed from high-quality stainless steel (304 or 316), offering excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, and structural strength, ensuring long-term stable operation under harsh working conditions.
Working Principle
This product operates on the counter-current gas-liquid contact absorption principle. Exhaust gas enters the bottom inlet of the tower and flows upward through the packing layer. Simultaneously, scrubbing liquid is sprayed from the top through a liquid distributor and flows downward over the packing. The gas and liquid phases come into full contact on the packing surface, where pollutants are transferred from the gas phase to the liquid phase via physical absorption and chemical reactions.
The purified gas passes through a mist eliminator at the top of the tower to remove entrained droplets before being discharged through the top outlet, meeting emission standards. The scrubbing liquid returns to the sump at the bottom of the tower, is pressurized by a recirculation pump, and is reused, effectively conserving water and chemical consumption.
